Manchester City’s new signing Gabriel Jesus has revealed he’s been having conversations with a future teammate to know everything about the club.

In a press conference for the Brazilian national team, the striker revealed he has many curiosities about his next home, and Fernandinho is the one who helps him.

“I plan to have the knowledge. The more knowledge I have about the city, the club, everything there, it makes my arrival easier,” he told journalists (via UOL).

“So I always try to ask him what I am curious about. What will be important to me about everything, what will be a shock to me (laughs), which is normal. But I talked a lot of things about everything that can help me.”

The 19-year-old said that English food is one of his biggest concerns, but he already has a solution for it: “My mother is going with me and she can cook pasta for me. I can stay without eating, can I? (laughs).”

Gabriel Jesus is joining Manchester City in January, after the end of the Brazilian season. He’s currently the league’s top scorer with eleven goals, as his club Palmeiras are on top of the table.

There are plenty of South Americans already with Manchester City, and Manchester United, and Gabriel need not worry too much on the food front, plenty have coped. If it’s pasta he’s after, Manchester is known for having a glut of Italian restaurants… it’s all going to be ok.
