Last month, Troyes’ Sávio Moreira de Oliveira, simply known as Savinho, said his move to Manchester City is in his agents’ hands.

The two clubs are owned by the City Football Group, and he’s set to join the Citizens even though they haven’t yet made his move official.

The winger was on loan at Girona last season, where he managed 11 goals and 10 assists. They would like to have him back at the club next season.

Monday’s edition of Sport claims the Brazil international’s future depends on Manchester City.

It’s stated the 20-year-old will have to move to City after the Copa América with the national team.

Sources close to Savinho have informed the newspaper that Manchester City’s initial plan was for him to do pre-season with them and then send him out on loan. The player has also expressed his desire to return to the La Liga side.

Brazilian journalist Rômulo Giacomin claims Pep Guardiola’s side will not loan him out.

This is now backed up by Sport, who add Manchester City have ‘finally made a decision’ to have the Brazilian in their squad next season, where he will compete for a place on the left.

Manchester City have now made a U-turn and ‘will not give up’ Savinho, and this will be a blow for Girona.
