Barcelona are currently in the midst of a disaster. Even before their 8-2 Champions League defeat to Bayern Munich, it was clear the club needed to go through something of a rebuilding process.
That’s very difficult given their wage bill is at a much higher level than is healthy, so exits are going to be needed.
Spanish newspaper AS take a look at the situation and those who could leave, with Sergi Roberto being their headline exit. It’s claimed ‘Manchester City want him’, and that Barcelona would be ready to do business.
The 28 year old made 39 appearances for his club last season, either playing at right back or in midfield. His contract runs until June 2022, and there’s no indication of how much Barcelona would be looking for.
Should Manchester City be genuinely keen, then there’s likely a deal there to be done.
Other players who AS believe are available for transfer include goalkeeper Neto, Nelson Semedo, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele, Jordi Alba, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic and Samuel Umtiti.
There’s even some doubt placed on the futures of Antoine Griezmann and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
