Manchester City have joined the race for FC Dallas star Ricardo Pepi after his impressive performances in MLS.
That’s according to Sky Germany, who say Manchester City are ‘interested’ in signing the 19-year-old.
Pepi has become the focus of attention for several Bundesliga clubs after his performances for Dallas this season, with 13 goals in 28 games so far.
Couples with three goals in four games for the USA it’s the kind of form that’s earned him plenty of attention, with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United already linked.
Manchester City are ‘also interested’ in him, although Sky do state that a move to the Etihad is ‘probably out of the question’ for the young striker.
FC Dallas are said to be asking for at least €10m for their star man at the moment, although there is every chance that figure will increase if he continues to impress.
Whether any of his suitors are willing to pay that isn’t mentioned, but it could be a bargain if his current rise continues.
Manchester City aren’t averse to those despite their millions, so perhaps this is one to keep an eye on given their continued efforts to pick up talent around the world.
