Talks are ‘ongoing’ with Galatasaray and Manchester City over the transfer of Jason Denayer, claim Fanatik.
In recent days reports coming out of Turkey have suggested Galatasaray are also interested in Inter Milan’s Andrea Ranocchia, but it seems they still have their eye on Denayer.
Fanatik say the negotiations between Galatasaray and Manchester City are set to continue, with the Turkish side still having hope the Premier League side will change their stance over the Belgian international.
Manchester City aren’t keen for Denayer to head to Turkey on loan, and last summer they blocked his move to Galatasaray. However, the Manchester City player is keen for a return to the Turkish giants, following his successful loan spell with the club during the 2015/16 season.
In late August 2015, Denayer waited at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel for his loan move out of City. Just as Nicolas Otamendi arrived at the same hotel, signing from Valencia, the Dutch defender was finding out his new destination would be Turkey.
The 22-year old Belgian spent last season on loan at Sunderland, even though he wanted a return to Galatasaray. Denayer has already been offered to Girona this summer by Manchester City, but he rejected a loan move to the Spanish side.
It now seems Denayer situation is only likely to be solved close to next week’s deadline. He’s probably waiting at the Lowry, once again.
