Joel Ndala has been a bright spark for Manchester City’s youth sides in recent seasons but has never been close to breaking into the club’s first-team.
The 18-year-old could now be set to depart City, as he seeks more game time, and a move to the Netherlands would prove beneficial for him.
Dutch newspaper ED report that PSV Eindhoven seem set to seal their move for the teenager. The transfer is ‘very close’ for Ndala, who has played multiple times for the England Under-18s side.
The Dutch giants would sign the winger on a permanent deal for ‘several million euros’, with Ndala said to have been a target for a while now.
Ajax were also interested in the player but they have missed out because of Manchester City’s asking price, even if they were directly offered the chance to sign him.
PSV seem more financially confident in the player and that is why they have trumped their rivals to sign the starlet.
They already have a plan in place for Ndala, who will be a replacement for Hirving Lozano, as the Mexican will likely leave PSV at the end of December.
Until then, the 18-year-old could ply his trade with the reserves’ side.
