On Thursday, journalist Javier Tintó insisted there’s ‘nothing coincidental’ in the forward flirting with the Citizens.
Friday’s edition of Marca has a report on the 23-year-old and their title says ‘City tempt Rodrygo’.
Over the past few days, there’s been speculation around his future, and it’s partly ignited with him publicly flirting with Manchester City.
Rodrygo certainly has a market because of his qualities and also the changes that could take place [potential arrival of Kylian Mbappé] at Real Madrid.
A few top teams have looked at him and only Manchester City are mentioned. These clubs are doing calculations and are carefully monitoring Rodrygo’s situation at the La Liga side.
Madrid have put everything on hold until the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday. They feel Pep Guardiola’s are interested in the Brazil international, and the player is also aware that he’s on Manchester City radar.
Marca state Los Blancos are of the belief they are in control of the situation, while they are also ‘prepared for any scenarios’, meaning they are open to selling Rodrygo to Manchester City or any other club, if the conditions are favourable to them.
Manchester City are tempting the South American and there should be more clarity on this case after this weekend’s final at Wembley.
