Samir Nasri’s spell at Sevilla has been a predictable success. Second place in La Ligaand qualified for the Champions League round-of-16, the club are showing really good form as the Frenchman takes care of its creative sector.

Spanish newspaper El Confidencial has an article saying the Manchester City loan player is loving his time at the club. He’s even asked his teammates to only speak to him in the local language so he can adapt himself better for the future.

It all makes Sevilla pretty excited to keep Nasri. The problem is the loan deal with Manchester City doesn’t include a buying option, so the clubs must find a fee for the permanent transfer.

As revealed by the player himself, a deal could be made for  a reasonable fee, put by El Confidencial at €25m. Nasri’s salary, which is currently of around €8m per season, would be reduced.

Sevilla have recently shown they have a lot of money for the future, but before making any crazy signings, the priority would be to keep their stars. Nasri is the main one of them, so even though the club claims they will only try a deal at the end of the season, it’s already an issue that concerns them.

Nasri will be 30 in the summer, with a contract ending two years later, Sevilla will likely look to pay less than €25m.
