Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva trained with Portugal today after missing their recent training sessions.

That’s according to Record, who say the midfielder was available for Portugal boss Fernando Santos in their first training session after yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Ireland.

That’s come as good news for Portugal, who were worried the Manchester City man was set to miss their decisive duel with Serbia on Sunday.

That game is crucial to the country’s hopes of qualifying for the World Cup, and there had been fears Silva would not be available for the game.

Silva had missed training on Tuesday courtesy of a muscle pain issue, which also saw him miss training on Wednesday as well.

Fernando Santos later commented on the issue, revealing the Manchester City man had arrived at the training camp with a complaint and wouldn’t even be travelling for yesterday’s game.

It seems he’s now returned, though, which will come as a big boost for Portugal, who need all of their key players available if they are to secure passage to Qatar.
