The Catalan media is now sharing important updates on the future of Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.
According to Catalunya Radio, relayed by AS, the player has ‘practically decided’ to leave Pep Guardiola’s side this summer.
Now what’s actually making some noise in the local press is that even though Silva has Barcelona as his number one option, there’s another club attempting to sign him from Manchester City.
It’s said there’s some ‘special’ competition from Paris Saint Germain, with journalist Oriol Domenech claiming that the French side are about to make a new attempt following one last year.
Barcelona continue to believe they’d have a few advantages in this race. First because Silva has family in Barcelona, and sees the club as a priority. Then there’s the fact that agent Jorge Mendes is the one with the ‘key’ in his hands, and he has an ‘excellent relationship’ with Barça chiefs Deco and Joan Laporta.
Bernardo Silva’s contract with Manchester City is believed to include a €50m release clause, and the Camp Nou side are hopeful that will be an affordable amount for them in the summer.
