Inter Milan have Manchester City striker Sergio Agüero on their list of potential replacements for Lautaro Martínez.

The Argentine striker is widely expected to move to Barcelona this summer, with the Catalans pushing forward with a big money move.

Should he leave, Inter will be on the hunt for a replacement for the 22-year-old, who has 16 goals in all competitions this season.

The Serie A side have drawn up a list of potential signings and, according to FC Inter News, Agüero is among them.

His contract at Manchester City expires next summer and there is widespread belief he will leave the club after 10 years.

Most expect him to return to Argentina but Inter may now be ready to offer him a last adventure in Italy and move for him this summer.

According to FC Inter News, the idea of signing Agüero ‘teases’ those in charge at the club, with Antonio Conte even having tried to sign him when he was in charge at Juventus.

His expiring deal may allow the club to negotiation with Manchester City for ‘normal numbers’ but the biggest issue would be his wages.

He currently earns €15m a year with bonuses at the Etihad but the Nerazzurri could try to tempt with a three-year deal at around €9-10m, which their current top earners Christian Eriksen and Romelu Lukaku pick up.

Whether Agüero would be open to the move isn’t mentioned, but the website does posit that the chance to play in the same league where Diego Maradona made history could be something that tempts him.
