Manchester City will send a scout to Italy to watch Juventus left back Alex Sandro, claim TMW. The fullback areas have been issue for the Premier League side this season, and manager Pep Guardiola wants to address this in the summer.
TMW have reported Manchester City will send an official to the game between Juventus and Atalanta tonight. The purpose of the trip is to get a further lowdown on Sandro, a player long linked with the Manchester club.
With veteran fullbacks Bacary Sagna and Pablo Zabaleta set to leave the club at the end of the season, Guardiola needs to bring in reinforcements and Sandro is an option for the Spaniard. However, Manchester City will need to act fast to land the player with recent reports Juventus want to tie him down to a longer contract.
The South American left-back, who has a contract running until 2020, is set to be offered a deal of one or two more years. His wages are also set to be increased to €4m per season, which would put him in a higher bracket in the Juventus squad.
