Manchester City are sending ‘emissaries’ to watch Torino’s clash with Inter this weekend to watch over defender Bremer.

That’s according to Tuttosport, who say Manchester City are one of several sides keen on the centre-back.

The newspaper explains that ‘everyone is crazy’ for Bremer, and there is a ‘desire’ in England and Italy to get their hands on him as soon as possible.

He’s establishing himself as one of the strongest centre-backs in Europe, and his performances have not gone unnoticed.

Torino are aware of this and recently signed the defender to a new deal until 2024, but on the proviso that they will allow the player to leave in the summer transfer window.

That is more than likely to happen as the player has ‘many admirers’, and Manchester City are apparently one of them.

According to Tuttosport, Pep Guardiola is ‘keeping an eye’ on the defender and plans to send a scout to this weekend’s clash to get a closer look at him.

At the moment, the interest appears to just be passing, and Manchester City are simply lining themselves up alongside the rest of Europe.

Interestingly, Bremer is in the process of learning English, but the newspaper insists this is not to be seen as a hint he is ‘already promised’ to a Premier League club.

It is, though, something that would make a move to the Etihad far easier, should City or any of his other English suitors decide to make a move.
