Manchester City are reportedly one of the clubs following Millonarios winger Daniel Ruiz Rivera.
This information is brought by Directv Sports, who claim the Citizens had a scout watching the player in action on Wednesday evening.
Ruiz was part of Millonarios’ line-up for the Colombian cup final against Junior Barranquila, with the winger’s side losing the match 1-0, and him being replaced in the second half.
Directv Sports report Manchester City, Benfica and Red Bull Bragantino were watching the player. The outlet seems to have no information on what the scouts thought of the youngster’s performance, as they wonder what ‘impression’ he gave to those clubs.
Ruiz has eight goals and 11 assists in 45 appearances for Millonarios this season, and at the age of 21, is still to be called up for the Colombian national team.
As outlet Antena 2 covers the news, they claim the club from Bogotá demand US$10m (£9m) for the player, although his valuation on Transfermarkt is £4m.
The City Group have been signing multiple South American youngsters over the past few years, but since few of them actually get the chance to move to Manchester City, we shall wait and see which side are actually interested in landing Ruiz, as he could be heading to one of the partner clubs.
