Even though Emre Can’s transfer from Liverpool to Juventus looks like the most obvious move of the summer, sometimes some stories come to put this possibility in doubt.
That’s the case of information brought by Rai Sport (via Calcio Mercato), claiming that going to Spain or even staying in England could be in Can’s plans as well.
According to the Italian outlet, Real Madrid and Manchester City could both land the player on a free deal once his contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season.
The fact that he can leave on a free is obviously the biggest draw for the clubs, who are said to be ‘intrigued’.
Even though Juve’s pursuit for the player has been reported for months now, the word in Italy is that Can doesn’t want to sign a pre-contract while still playing for Liverpool. So the Old Lady must wait for the season to be over so they can finally shake hands with the player.
And that gives worry someone else could step in, hence the Manchester City and Real Madrid claims. It’s likely all window dressing, presenting a chance for it to be said Juventus beat tough competition to sign the Liverpool player.
