Manchester City have been named as a contender to sign Juventus’ Dušan Vlahović.
That’s at least what Tutto Juve are reporting, and they state Manchester City like the 24-year-old.
The striker has managed four goals and one assist from seven matches this season. He has a contract lasting until 2026.
Thiago Motta’s side are working to extend the Serbia international’s deal, and Manchester City and Atlético Madrid are presented askeeping close tabs on his situation at the Turin club.
If the Serie A side fail to agree a new deal with the former Fiorentina man, they’ll make him available in the market in 2025.
In that case, Pep Guardiola’s side and the Madrid club could make an approach for him next summer. The report adds the two clubs would ‘like to open’ their doors for the player, who will be available for an ‘affordable price’.
The Premier League winners sold Julián Alvarez to Atlético in the summer window. Los Rojiblancos also took Alexander Sørloth from Villarreal in August. It wouldn’t make sense for them to look for another striker.
Recent claims in Italy have mentioned Arsenal as one of Vlahović’s suitors, but Tutto Juve don’t name the Gunners in their latest report.
It’s quite possible Manchester City and Atlético are being used to help Vlahović’s secure an improved deal at Juve.
