Manchester City and Issa Diop is a low key rumour which won’t go away. Popping up every now and again, claims of Manchester City interest in Diop seem pretty reliable when taken as a whole, and this could be the year to make a move.
The French newspaper have a feature on possible Toulouse transfers in their Friday edition and say Manchester City remain interested in Diop, and they are expected to ‘prepare a new assault’ in the coming window.
Diop, 20 years of age, has played over 2000 minutes of Ligue 1 football so far this season. The youngster isn’t keen to rush his future, according to L’Equipe, and Toulouse have him on a contract until June 2020.
Red Bull Leipzig, known for recruiting excellent young talent, have already had a €13m offer knocked back.
