Manchester City signed Angelino back from PSV in the summer transfer window.

The Premier League champions had a buyback option, and given Angelino had been doing well for the Dutch club, it made some sense for them to use that.

La Liga clubs had started to take notice of the fullback, and City therefore had the choice whether to swoop in before anyone else did, or let their investment go.

Deciding on the signing, Manchester City haven’t been able to give Angelino the minutes he wants, and Bild report that could lead to an exit today.

RB Leipzig are said to be talks over the signing, with Bild saying the negotiations are ‘really quite advanced’.

The move, as Bild have it, will be a loan until the end of the season, with there being no mention of any buying clause.

Germany’s transfer window closes at 5pm, which means RB Leipzig and City will have to hurry to get this transfer over the line.
