Manchester City’s Rodri will be in attendance for this weekend’s Super Bowl between Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

Spanish newspaper AS state the 28-year-old will be one of the VIP guests of Super Bowl LIX at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome.

Rodri suffered a serious knee injury in Manchester City’s league clash against Arsenal in September and has been away from the pitch since then.

The Spain international won the Ballon d’Or in October and has been speaking regularly to the media in his country whilst working on his recovery.

AS state the midfielder will travel with eight people to the US from Manchester on Friday.

He doesn’t want to miss a single day of working on his recovery. Therefore, Rodri has decided to take two ‘rehabilitation workers’ on his upcoming trip to America for the Super Bowl.

Rodri’s commercial value has increased since winning the Ballon d’Or and AS say this has ‘boosted business opportunities’ both for him and the Citizens.

The report states the Manchester City star will carry out several commercial opportunities and talk to the US media during his time in New Orleans.

After the Super Bowl, he’ll return to England and will be in attendance at the Etihad for the Champions League clash against Real Madrid next Tuesday.
