For the past few days, there’s been a mix of reports coming from the Spanish media regarding Barcelona’s wish to sign Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Part of the local press believe the Camp Nou side are already in talks to get him as a free agent, and other outlets say things are not that advanced.
Well, for those who believe the Argentina international is close on moving to the La Liga giants, there’s an interesting story from Deportes Cuatro today, as they bring the details of the contract he’s reportedly about to sign.
The outlet says Aguero has received a ‘first offer’ from Barcelona, which is a two-year deal worth between €7m and €8m per season, and by taking that contract, the striker would be giving up on half of the €16m+ he makes at Manchester City every year.
It’s also pointed out that Aguero must take on a new role at Barcelona, because despite his great chemistry with Lionel Messi, the age and injuries of the Manchester City player show he won’t be able to have a secure place in Ronald Koeman’s side.
Despite this, those at the Camp Nou believe the 32-year-old will take the offer.
According to the report, Juventus are also in the competition, offering a contract worth around €10m per year, but the striker’s wish to move back to Spain and play alongside Lionel Messi should prove to be decisive.
