Manchester City are reportedly still negotiating for the Sporting midfielder William Carvalho, and new talks are said to have happened in the last weekend.
The answer was not very positive. Despite recent reports saying Sporting would sell him for a better price, the club would now be demanding the player’s full release clause, which is €45m.
Manchester City are not keen on paying that, and as the club have no rush in making the deal, new talks are set to happen in the next few weeks.
It’s worth recalling that Manchester City have only started being heavily linked to Carvalho since he started working with Pere Guardiola.
We’re pretty sure the Guardiola brothers know how to differ family from business, so it’s hard to find much sense in all this.
