Talks between Manchester City and Bayern Munich for forward Leroy Sané are ‘not yet nearing completion’ despite reports to the contrary.
That’s according to Sky Sports Germany, who report that the German has also made a decision about his future amid the constant rumours.
Sky Sports explain that Bayern and Manchester City remain in ‘concrete negotiations’ over a transfer fee for Sané.
Talks and sums have ‘already been exchanged’, and while an agreement is unlikely in the short-term, a transfer is still likely this summer with Sané and Bayern determined to make it happen.
Sané has indicated his desire to move to Munich by deciding that he will not be extending his contract at Manchester City.
His deal at the Etihad expires in 2021, and the possibility of him signing a new deal is now ‘completely excluded’ according to Sky’s sources.
That shows he is keen to make the move, and it’s now down to Bayern and City to find an agreement over his price, with them far away in terms of valuation if reports are to be believed.
