On Tuesday, besides Italy’s great win against Spain, another interesting story made the Corriere dello Sport front page. Inter Milan have reportedly joined the race for Gabriel Jesus.
The article had a big repercussion in Italy and in Brazil, since the Inter president Erick Thohir said the player was a desire from the new ownership of the club.
But TuttoMercatoWeb’s latest news isn’t very exciting for Inter. They say that despite the Italian club’s interest, Manchester City and Real Madrid are still the clubs who are leading the race for the wonderkid, and Barcelona are also interested.
City and Inter are not part of the list of clubs who can buy the player with a discount, so in theory they would have to pay €40m for this release clause. On the other hand, Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester United and Bayern Munich can buy him for only €24m.
Gabriel Jesus scored 16 goals in 2016 and is living the best moment of his career. Liverpool and Manchester United have both been linked to the player in the past few months, but there are so many rumours surrounding the player that it’s difficult to even guess who he’s signing for if he leaves this summer .
Neither Gabriel or his agent haven’t been encouraging or commenting on the rumours, as the Palmeiras board keep showing their will to keep the starlet for a longer time.
