Manchester City are looking to sign Real Valladolid’s Juma Bah to improve their defence, according to Africa Foot.

The centre-back joined Real Valladolid on loan from AIK Freetong last summer and has grown in La Liga this season, making 10 league appearances.

Bah’s performances have attracted interest from several clubs, including Manchester City and Barcelona.

It’s further claimed the Premier League side are leading the transfer race and have taken steps to sign him.

Global Soccer Management manage the 18-year-old and a source close to the agency has ‘confirmed’ Manchester City’s approach.

“The fact that Manchester City have been asking questions about his contractual situation with AIK indicates that they have a strong interest. They haven’t sent an offer yet, but they made contact a fortnight ago, and for us, that’s huge for Juma,” a source told Africa Foot.

The same source has also stated the defender’s parent club, AIK Freetong, is requesting €14m to sanction his sale. The report adds it’s a ‘huge opportunity’ for the Sierra Leone based club to earn big from the young star’s sale.

The opportunity to move to the Premier League and play under Pep Guardiola ‘could prove irresistible’ for Bah, and these factors could be vital for the deal to take shape

Africa Foot haven’t specified or indicated whether Manchester City are aiming to sign Bah in January or next summer.
