In the last window, Manchester City looked at RB Leipzig star Dani Olmo after Kevin De Bruyne’s injury setback.
The Citizens weren’t able to get a deal over the line and maintain the desire to sign him.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who state Manchester City want the 25-year-old and are one of the clubs ‘attentive’ to his situation.
This week’s edition of SportBild stated the attacking midfielder could leave the German club next summer.
Mundo relay this and then say Barcelona are joined by Pep Guardiola’s side, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea in the chase for the Spain international. He would consider an offer from Barca but hasn’t closed any other doors just yet.
Los Blancos are looking to add more Spanish players to their squad while the Citizens want to ‘begin to relieve their oldest players’, which is why they are looking at Olmo.
Back in June, the player signed a new deal at Leipzig and had no plans to change clubs.
Mundo state things have changed.
Olmo thinking of a transfer would come as encouragement for the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid, and his €60m release clause is ‘not prohibitive’ for these two clubs.
