Manchester City met with Pedro Porro last week to discuss his current loan deal at Real Valladolid.
Porro joined the Spanish side on loan in the summer transfer window after joining City in a €10m deal from Girona.
However, he has made just 13 appearances for the La Liga side all season, managing just six starts in the league, while he has not featured in any of their last four league games.
According to El Desmarque, he has fallen from the first choice to the third choice at the club, and this has caused some concern at Manchester City.
This is part of the club ‘follow-up’ programme City have in place to keep track of the numerous players they have out on loan and ensure they are going well.
While the meeting itself is not surprising, El Desmarque say it is ‘striking’ that this meeting happened 48 hours before deadline day.
They don’t openly say that Manchester City are considering ending the loan deal and bringing Porro back, but the suggestion is certainly there and given his current situation, it would not be surprising to see a last-minute change happen.
