Earlier this month, Italian agent Vincenzo Morabito told Tuttosport that Adrien Rabiot is in Pep Guardiola’s ‘list of goals at Manchester City’.

The 25-year-old joined Juventus on a free transfer in 2019 and after his initial struggles, he has been regular figure for the Turin club.

Rabiot’s performances have helped him regain his place in Didier Deschamps’s France squad.

Despite all of this, Calciomercato explain the Old Lady are planning to sell the former Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

Andrea Pirlo’s side want to bolster their midfield in the next market, but before making new additions, they need to offload a few of their own players. This will be done to make room in the squad and also to raise funds.

Rabiot is one of the two players the Serie A side are looking to cut ties with, and he is on the radar of several top clubs, including the Citizens.

It’s claimed Manchester City and Barcelona have ‘begun to follow’ the Frenchman’s evolution closely.

The Italian side will not oppose the player’s sale if they receive a ‘right offer’. There’s no mention of any figures or what would be considered a ‘right offer’ by Juve.

Juventus’ plan is to immediately invest the money from Rabiot’s potential sale in signing a new player, and his exit will also help them save €7m net per season in salary.
