Manchester City are reportedly interested in the 17-year-old Matias Antonini Lui, from Inter Milan.
The English club have joined the likes of Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg in the chase for the player, according to Tutto Mercato Web.
The website calls the player a “new Thiago Motta” for the Italian side. He’s a defensive midfielder who was already called up for the Brazilian U-17 National Team last year.
Mattias played for Grêmio during his teenage years. His grandfather edited some videos of him and sent it to Luis Figo’s project Dream Football, and that’s what gave him the chance to have a trial at some Italian clubs. He chose Inter, and has been there since he was 14.
The player still hasn’t officially debuted for Inter, but the interest in him has been growing, especially after Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich made an approach last year. Maybe that’s the reason why Manchester City are mentioned as potential candidates too.
