Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola currently has Rico Lewis as the only recognised right-back at his disposal.

The Premier League club are looking to bring in a new right-back in the summer window and have identified Flamengo’s Wesley França as a target.

On Thursday, Gianluca Di Marzio reported Manchester City prefer the 21-year-old over Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento. This was backed up by Foot Mercato, who stated they have Juventus’ Nicolò Savona on their list.

Coluna do Fla now share the latest on the Citizens’ efforts to try and sign the fullback in the upcoming window.

Manchester City have intensified talks in recent days for the Brazil international’s transfer. The report adds the player has ‘approved’ their project and it’s now down to the clubs to find an agreement.

At the weekend, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Wesley will cost Manchester City more than what they paid [€37m] for Vitor Reis in January. There was no mention of Flamengo’s request.

Coluna do Fla now explain Manchester City are expected to ‘formalise an initial offer’ of €35m. The Brazilian club are hoping to collect €40m, but it’s unclear whether they’ll be successful.
