Manchester City duo Pablo Moreno and Yan Couto could return to Girona this summer after their successful loan spells last season.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who say that Girona are looking at the pair as they continue to work on improving their squad.
The newspaper states that the Manchester City pair’s names are ‘on the table right now’, and they could be the next two players through the doors at Montilivi.
Both players spent last season on loan with Girona and were successful, particularly Couto, who was ‘one of the sensations’ of the campaign and a player the Spanish side are determined to get back.
They have been working on doing so from the second the transfer window opened, and that could become a reality.
Both players are currently taking part in pre-season with Manchester City but are unlikely to be a part of Pep Guardiola’s squad next season, and so loan deals would make sense once more.
Moreno, in particular, is keen to make the return and continue his development as he believes it will give him a basis to ‘establish himself in professional football’.
A deal is yet to be met, but the relationship is there after last season, and this is a deal that seems likely to be done sooner rather than later.
