At the weekend, the Brazilian media brought the details of the City Group’s offer for Fluminense youngsters Kayky and Metinho.
The bid for the striker, who’d go straight to Manchester City, was €7m initially, with bonuses of between €5m and €15m.
For Metinho, who’d at first go to another club from the group, the offer was €7m.
Fluminense rejected both deals, claiming they expect to get more money for the teenagers, but now it seems they’re about to face a tougher scenario in the future.
Outlet O Dia brings a piece saying the Rio de Janeiro side just managed to renew the contract of João Neto. However, they aren’t having the same success with João Pedro and Metinho.
The report says Fluminense are having ‘difficulty’ to renew the deals following the rejected offers from the City Group and Shakhtar Donetsk.
Both players are 17-years-of-age and have contracts running until 2022. It means that in case the Brazilian club fail to agree the renewals, they may soon feel forced to sell the duo.
