AmkSpor claim Galatasaray are set to reignite their interest in Manchester City right back/reborn midfielder Pablo Zabaleta, with reports the Turkish side are ready to offer him a contract.
Zabaleta’s agent has reportedly sent a message to Galatasaray saying his client is keen on a move to Galatasaray if they are unable to agree a new contract with Manchester City.
The Cim-Bom currently have three right backs in their squad with Martin Linnes, Luis Pedro Cavanda and Sabri Sarıoglu, but none of them are seen as top level players. Gala boss Jan Olde Riekerink thinks Zabaleta is much better than what he currently has at his disposal, and believes his experience will be vital for the squad.
AmkSpor say Manchester City are not looking to renew Zabaleta’s contract and it’s safe to say the Argentine international is likely to have a number of options in the summer.
Zabaleta has won two Premier League titles with Manchester City since his move from Espanyol and has fifty-two caps for Argentina.
Both his and Bacary Sagna’s contracts expire in six months, and it’ll be interesting to see how Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reacts to the situation.
