The more time passes and the closer Eliaquim Mangala looks like becoming an Inter player, at least for one season.

The Manchester City centre-back is quite happy with the interest from the Serie A outfit and has already said yes to a move.

All that’s blocking him from ending up in Milan, according to TuttoMercatoWeb, are the talks between the two sides, with Mangala waiting for the two to come to an agreement over the nature of the deal.

Inter, down their end, want a loan and nothing more, while Manchester City are more leaning towards permanent transfer to get rid of the defender once and for all, or, if it ends up being a loan, at least a temporary deal with a redemption clause in it.

The Italian website state there is ‘cautious optimism’ emanating from the Serie A outfit’s side that the deal could be done, helped by Mangala himself pushing for the move and trying to convince Pep Guardiola and co. to let him go sooner rather than later.

All there is to do now is wait.
