Manchester City improved their centre-back position in the winter market and would look to strengthen their fullback position in the summer window.
The Premier League club let Kyle Walker join AC Milan on loan with a buying option in January, leaving Pep Guardiola with Rico Lewis as the only recognised right-back at his disposal.
Manchester City are likely to sign a new right-back and Juventus’ Nicolò Savona is on their list.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, and their title says there’s a verbal agreement between the 22-year-old and the Citizens.
Within the report, it’s explained the English club continue to hold talks with the defender’s entourage to agree terms of the contract.
Savona graduated from the Turin club’s youth system and was promoted to the first team this season. He’s made 36 appearances and also made his debut for Italy in November.
The fullback’s contract lasts until 2029, but the report states he’s keen on making a switch to the Etihad. There’s no mention of the English club approaching or negotiating with Juve for Savona.
Foot Mercato add Manchester City’s management prefers Wesley, but they haven’t found an agreement with Flamengo. Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento is their second choice.
If they can’t sign either of them, Guardiola’s side could focus on the Juventus player in the upcoming window.
