According to a claim in the Turkish media, Manchester City are still continuing to follow Trabzonspor midfielder Yusuf Yazici.
In recent months the playmaker has been linked with a move to the Premier League, including Manchester City.
Milliyet have reported on the latest developments with regards to Yazici’s future and they say Fiorentina have joined the race to sign the Turkey international. It’s claimed the Serie A side have made an offer for the player, but this was turned down by Trabzonspor.
It’s also reported Manchester City remain interested in Yazici, along with Inter Milan, AC Milan and fellow Premier League side Liverpool.
Earlier this year we covered reports from Turkey that the Premier League champions had scouts watch the 21 year old during Trabzonspor’s clash with Galatasaray. At the time it was reported Manchester City were considering making a summer transfer bid for the youngster.
Yazici is contracted to the Trabzon club until June 20022.
