Adrien Rabiot’s future at PSG is looking increasingly limited, with the club coming out this week and making clear a departure is a distinct possibility.
Big clubs haven’t been wasting their time before considering a transfer, reports Tuesday’s edition of L’Equipe, and the French newspaper claims the midfielder’s name is ‘circulating’ at both Manchester clubs.
Whilst the red side of Manchester is currently in the midst of a drama, following Jose Mourinho’s exit from the club, things are rather calmer over at the Etihad.
Rabiot was with Manchester City for a period during his youth development, and L’Equipe insinuate a return is certainly possible, and something which is being considered by Pep Guardiola’s side.
Barcelona, Tottenham and Juventus are also said to be keen, and ‘some’ of the clubs mentioned are already planning an offer in the winter market, believing PSG will want to make some money rather than seeing Rabiot leave for free at the end of June.
L’Equipe believe the player himself is prepared to hold out for a free transfer, with his preference being Barcelona right now.
If City firm up their interest, that could change.
