Manchester City have reportedly found a deal with Espanyol for the transfer of Óscar Tarensi. The agreement was first announced by Cadena Cope, and is now confirmed by Catalan outlet Sport as well.

It’s claimed the Premier League side had been trying to sign the 16-year-old since last year, and only now could get to a deal.

Sport describes Tarensi as ‘left-footed player of much quality’, saying he can operate as a fullback or a winger.

Due to his age, he’s obviously joining Manchester City’s academy.

It’s claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side will be paying Espanyol €300k for the transfer, which will be increased by another €200k due to training compensation which Espanyol are entitled to.

Now the parties are only waiting for the player to sign the contract, and the move should be made official ‘in the next few days’. The report adds that the personal terms had been agreed long ago.
