Barcelona right-back Nélson Semedo has an ‘important offer’ on the table from Manchester City this summer, and is eyeing up a move to the Premier League.
That’s according to Sport, who say Manchester City’s effort to sign the player is causing Inter Milan problems as they want him too.
The newspaper explains that negotiations between Barcelona and Inter Milan over a deal for striker Lautaro Martïnez are progressing with the Spanish side having convinced their Italian counterparts to accept players as part of the deal.
Inter are desperate to sign a right-back and had targeted Semedo as part of the move, with him otherwise out of their reach given his price tag.
However, their efforts have been somewhat stunted by Manchester City, who have already made an ‘important offer’ to the defender ahead of the summer.
In fact, he ‘would prefer’ to move to the Premier League, which would seemingly put City at the front of the queue for his signature if there is any line developing.
Of course, this is not the first time they’ve been linked, with numerous reports having identified them as suitors over the last few months.
This is the first time we’ve heard what he would prefer, though, in news that will be a significant boost to Pep Guardiola and co.
