Now one month since the attacks at Alcochete, today is the last day when Sporting players can ask to rescind their contracts with the club for just cause.

Several players have already done it, some are doing so today, and others haven’t decided yet. That’s what is explained in a story from A Bola this Thursday.

The newspaper says that midfielder Marcos Acuña is sending his letter today, while forward Rafael Leão is still thinking about the possibility.

The striker’s recision with Sporting could turn out to be pretty interesting, as he’s one of the club youngsters who are monitored by several European giants, including Manchester City.

A Bola claims that Manchester City and Juventus are the main pretenders. They are said to be attentive to the situation, and could sign the player for their youth squads.

Even though Rafael Leão had five appearances for Sporting this season, he’s still 19, with some great potential to be developed in the next few years.

In case he joins Manchester City, he’d be joining the U-23 squad, while the Old Lady would be planning to have the youngster in their Primavera team.
