Manchester City midfielder Diego Rosa is on his way to Portugal, according to local reports.
Outlet O Jogo claims there’s an agreement for the 19-year-old to move to Vizela on a one-year loan.
Diego Rosa was signed by Manchester City on a €6m deal in February 2021.
Back then, he was immediately sent on loan to Belgian side Lommel, who are also part of the City Group.
In one and a half season at the Belgian second division, he made 26 appearances, and is now set to look for more minutes in Portugal.
Rosa left Brazil at the age of 18, and still hadn’t broken through for Grêmio when making the move to Manchester City.
He was clearly one of the South American youngsters in whom the City Group saw potential and decided to invest on his signing.
Now playing in the Portuguese first division, he’ll certainly get bigger chances to prove himself, and perhaps dream of playing for Pep Guardiola’s side one day.
His contract with the Premier League champions runs until 2025, meaning there’s plenty of time left for him.
