The front page of newspaper Tuttosport today features four Italian managers and the potential destinations they could have next season.
The futures of Massimiliano Allegri, Maurizio Sarri, Gennaro Gattuso and Antonio Conte are all evaluated by the outlet.
It’s Allegri who gets most of the attention, and the cover highlights three clubs who could soon sign him: Juventus, Roma and Tottenham Hotspur.
The Old Lady obviously gets most paragraphs in the story, as manager Andrea Pirlo has his job in danger since elimination from the Champions League.
And even though Tottenham are pointed out as one of the favourites on the front page, the text has little information on Spurs’ efforts to get the Italian boss.
It’s claimed the London side could be after Allegri ‘again’, depending on what happens to José Mourinho.
Now although those are weak claims, Tuttosport probably has a reason to put Tottenham on the cover, as the White Hart Lane side are mentioned along other English clubs such as Arsenal and Manchester United, and none of the others get that much attention.
Massimiliano Allegri was linked to Tottenham right after Mauricio Pochettino’s departure. He could’ve been the one taking charge instead of Mourinho, and now could end up replacing the Special One if the Portuguese boss leaves soon. Spurs probably just can’t ignore the potential competition from Juventus.
