The agent of Frank De Boer has ruled out the possibility of seeing him joining Leicester City in the near future.

Speaking to Italian website Tutto Mercato Web this Friday, representative Guido Albers was asked about the subject and said: “No chance that Frank can go to Leicester. I’ve also heard these rumors, but they are mere rumors. Percentages? No, I can say without doubt that Frank will not become the coach of Leicester. 100% this will not happen”

The agent claims the reason for it is De Boer doesn’t want to take a job at this stage of the season: “As I’ve explained in the past, my client has the aim of starting a new project from the beginning.

“He doesn’t consider any opportunity in the current season. Therefore he’s carefully considering to choose the best solution for the 2017-2018”.

The Dutchman started the season at Inter Milan, but wasn’t able to hold onto the job for very long. He was sacked after only 14 games in charge of the club, having lost half of his matches, and was swiftly replaced by Stefano Pioli, who has done incredibly well to turn things around.

De Boer is one of the few names who have been linked to replace Claudio Ranieri since the manager’s sacking last night, alongside another former Inter Milan man, and the bookies’ favourites, Roberto Mancini.

Currently in 17th place on the league table, Leicester City are only one point above the relegation zone.
