It’s been a long time since Roberto Mancini decided that Yaya Touré would be his number one target for the summer. The development in negotiations hasn’t been significant since then, but the Italian manager won’t give up.

Calcio Mercato has an article today claiming that despite the difficulty in negotiations, Inter Milan are still looking for a way to make the signing. There was new contact between the parties recently, but it didn’t end up being conclusive.

Touré reportedly earns more than €6m per season at Manchester City and isn’t willing to take a huge pay cut to join Inter. That’s the biggest issue for the Italian side, since they believe that the transfer fee won’t be very high.

The website says that an agreement is still very far away, but Mancini will keep insisting while he can. Touré would like to follow his old boss to Italy, but doesn’t want to give up the privileges (money) he has in England.
