Mauricio Pochettino is not happy at Paris Saint-Germain and this prompted links of a potential return to Tottenham Hotspur, more than 18 months after the north London club sacked him.
La Repubblica state until Tuesday, Pochettino ‘was doing everything’ to seal a move back to the Premier League side.
The Argentine is ‘no longer happy’ to continue as PSG’s manager due to things happening behind the scenes at Parc des Princes.
In order to be happy and return to his comfort zone, he tried to push for a move to Spurs.
However, for this to happen, PSG sporting director Leonardo must accept the idea of allowing the manager leave Paris.
That, as of now, looks unlikely and the situation has forced the English capital club to look at Antonio Conte, who left Inter Milan after helping them win the title.
Spurs are also in talks to bring Fabio Paratici to the club.
La Repubblica state the former Juventus chief called Conte after reaching an agreement with the London club, as the two worked together when they were at Juventus.
For Conte, Tottenham have ‘become more than a temptation’, where he would get a chance to return to London (having previously managed Chelsea) and work again with Paratici.
