Teasing he would reveal his future after the Champions League final, everyone is now waiting on Liverpool’s Sadio Mané.

The Senegalese forward was unable to help the Reds lift the European trophy on Saturday, losing 1-0 to Real Madrid, and now a serious question about what comes next needs to be asked.

That’s because his contract at Liverpool expires in 2023, meaning that if he isn’t renewing, he will need to be sold this summer.

Over in Germany, Bayern Munich are interested in signing Mané, and Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg brings the latest on the situation on Monday evening.

He took to Twitter to reveal that the Liverpool star ‘was on Nagelsmann’s list from day one’ and he sees him ‘also as a number nine’.

As for what Bayern think internally of Mané, they regard him as a ‘world class player’ who has had a ‘top season’, with the positive being that ‘he speaks German’ already.

In fact, the staff at the Bavarian side ‘hopes that Hasan Salihamidzic can realise this transfer’ this summer, especially following the rather blunt comments from Robert Lewandowski that his time at the Bundesliga champions has come to an end.
