Standard Liege manager Ronny Deila has admitted he is unsure if a deal has been done for Everton youngster Isaac Price, but he is a player they are “following”.
The Liege boss has commented on the situation around the 19-year-old midfielder, whose contract at Goodison Park is set to expire in the summer.
Reports in England have claimed that he is set to depart Everton and move on as he is eyeing up regular first team football, something he believes he cannot get under Sean Dyche and co moving forwards.
Standard Liege have quickly been named as suitors for the youngster and several reports have even indicated that a deal is already in pace for him to move to Belgium this summer.
It seems that is something that Deila is unaware of at this moment in time, though, admitting that as far as he is aware the Everton man is simply one of several potential transfer targets they are looking at ahead of the summer.
“I don’t know if the transfer has been completed or not, but he is indeed a player we are following,” Voetbalkrant report him saying.
“I spoke to Fergal Harkin (the sporting director) and the idea is to have a different transfer window than this season. Then there was sometimes chaos when it came to attracting players.”
