Olympiacos will face Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night in the Champions League, and the Greek club’s manager Pedro Martins is hoping his key player Ruben Semedo will be available to face Harry Kane.
The Portuguese defender has been suffering with a meniscus injury which has kept him out of action since late August, but Sdna say Martins is hoping his player will be ready in time to ‘confront’ the England international.
Despite not training with the team for almost three weeks, Martins is likely to ‘take a small risk’ and use the Portuguese defender due to his importance to the side.
Olympiacos paid €4.5m to sign him from Villarreal this summer and the 25 year old played in all of the Greek giant’s Champions League qualifying matches, helping them to the group stages of the competition.
Semedo also scored two goals in six qualifying matches and they feel it will be a big bonus if he returns to face Tottenham later this week.
