Trabzonspor manager Unal Karaman has been impressed with Caleb Ekuban’s recent performances for the Super Lig club, report Sabah.
The Leeds United loanee has been in great form for Trabzonspor, scoring 7 goals in 18 appearances, and they want him long term.
According to Sabah, Trabzonspor boss Karaman thinks Ekuban is getting better and better with each game he plays for the Turkish club: “He is playing better and better each day. I am always trying to find a space for him in the team. He is in a really good moment right now. He is working very hard. He will become an even better player because he has that potential.”
There were recent reports in the Turkish press that Trabzonspor are looking to sign him permanently next summer which will come as no surprise considering his performances since November.
The Trazbon club can make his move permanent for €1m in the summer but there were claims they wanted Leeds United to reduce the fee.
However, with the displays he’s be putting in it’s unlikely Leeds United will allow him to leave Elland Road on the cheap.
Ekuban is also said to be keen on a permanent move to Turkey after his struggles at Leeds United last season.
