Pep Guardiola is not the only manager who is gutted over Gabriel Jesus’ injury.

Brazil national team coach Tite won’t be able to count on the player for upcoming internationals, and he’s spoken to Esporte Interativo about a chat he had with the 19 year old after the injury.

“Edu called him and I spoke to him too. Gabriel is very frustrated, upset, I could hear it in his voice tone,” he told Esporte Interativo (via ESPN Brasil).

“With the level he reached for Palmeiras, the national team and now that he was reaching at City, it’s very frustrating for a kid of 19, 20 years old.”

Gabriel Jesus will be missing two World Cup Qualifiers, against Uruguay and Paraguay in March. After winning Olympic Gold with the U-23 squad, the Manchester City youngster then had a very impressive start with the full national team.

In only six games for Brazil, the wonderkid has a record of five goals and four assists. He started all of these matches, getting the legendary number nine shirt. Tite is now thinking of who’s going to get a call up to replace him. Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino is one of the options, and he may benefit from Gabriel Jesus’ misfortune.
