Edin Terzic turned down West Ham United earlier in the season and now has his eye on Tottenham Hotspur instead.

That’s according to SportBILD, who say that Terzic ‘lurks for Tottenham’ after turning down the chance to return to West Ham.

They explain that Terzic is keen to return to the game after leaving Borussia Dortmund following their 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final last year.

He needed a break after two years in Dortmund and turned down AC Milan in the summer because of that but is now ready to return.

Milan aren’t the only side to be rejected though as approaches from Besiktas and West Ham a few months later were also turned down. He didn’t think the challenge at either was appealing enough and he also didn’t think they were ‘big enough’ for him.

He’s eyeing the Premier League and would have been open to Manchester United, before the appointment of Ruben Amorim. Now the focus is on Tottenham, where it is quite possible that Ange Postecoglou will be sacked this summer.

If they were to make an offer, Terzic ‘would be immediately open to discussions’. He can easily imagine taking on the challenge. He’s been preparing for his next job for months and even talking to ‘world-class’ managers, such as Arsene Wenger, to broaden his knowledge.

He has also spent several weeks in Spain, Italy and England to watch as many top matches live as possible. Whether he’s seen Tottenham, particularly in the Premier League, isn’t clear.

He’d be keen to discuss the job though, clearly thinking they are bigger and more attractive than West Ham were a few months ago.
